Design Project:

Ometeo Texmexeria

Ometeo is a restaurant coming soon to McLean, VA which will serve elevated Tex-Mex cuisine in a family-friendly environment. My design goal for this project was to create a classic and nostalgic illustration style to accompany our own fictional lore about 2 gods, Tex and Mex, of tex-mex cuisine.

Below is a series of mascot characters I created, as well as a set of Texan and Mexican nature and landscape vignettes I created as part of a large mural design, then additional column designs for the restaurant’s interior. Additionally, there are a few examples to demonstrate how the illustrations were able to be used within the rest of the brand by another designer.
