Design Project:
Jiwa Singapura
Jiwa Singapura is a Singaporean-style restaurant in McLean, VA. One of the project goals was to create an elegant and intricate pattern made with illustrations of common Virginian foliage in the style of Batik fabric patterns traditional to Singapore.
Below are the individual illustrations I created based on my research of Virginia foliage and samples of Singaporean Batik patterns, as well as the pattern I collaborated on with the project’s lead designer. Additionally, there are a few examples to demonstrate how the illustrations/pattern were able to be used within the rest of the brand by another designer.
